Tewkesbeary of Windsor

Visits Oxford and the Tower of London

This is the last story of my adventures with Nana & Papi in England. Today we are visiting the town of Oxford where there are many schools. Boys and girls go to schools that are very old. Have you ever seen a school like that?

The boys and girls live where they go to school. Nana, Papi, Grandpa Jim, and I are staying at a school called Regents Park College. Here I am by the door.

Today is a special day because we are going to take a bus ride to London.  I got to ride with Grandpa Jim on the bus.

First we went to see the Tower of London. It is a big castle where kings and queens used to live.

Next to the Tower there is a big bridge called London Bridge which crosses the River Thames. Can you find the bridge in the picture?

Next I went to visit my cousins and friends who work at the Tower of London.

After we went outside it started to rain, so Nana and I asked the castle guard if we could stand in his guard house so that we wouldn't get wet.

After we left the Tower of London, we took an underground train to Piccadilly Circus. It really isn't a circus with clowns and elephants -- it is just a big circle with a water fountain. Maybe you can take me to a real circus someday.

Soon it was time to leave London and get ready to go on the big airplane with Nana & Papi to Texas. I called all of my friends to say goodbye. Do you see me in the telephone booth?

Here I am on the big airplane looking out the window. I'm coming to see you Luke! Nana and Papi will bring me and Woolly Lamb to see you and Claire when we go to Waco.

I hope you have liked my stories. Someday Nana will put them in a book for you to read. See you soon!
